I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was filled with partying!
Definitely more unhealthy behaviors than healthy, but a mix of both.
For sure too much drinking and debauchery. Not very much sleep (it’s a problem when you go to bed at four but then sleep in a tent and are woken up by the sun rising…) and I’m in definitely need of a break from veggie burgers (there was pretty much an endless BBQ going.) But there was a little balance with a tough but scenic hike and a swim across a gorgeous lake. All around fun!
Monday was a recovery and work day. I managed to catch up on some sleep and even more importantly I got some planning done for my fall teaching. Nothing like crossing things off the to-do list.
My camera was still packed away in the car in the morning and I lost energy to unpack. I ended up with a very late breakfast/early lunch. A giant bowl of oatmeal with tons of fruit and peanut butter. It was super filling – a bit too much but I ended up holding off eating again until dinner.
I managed to finally leave my apartment in time for a 4:00 yoga class. Tough, sweaty, and a perfectly cleansing way to start the week.
After a quick shower I headed over to keep my Dad company (Mom is out of town) and I brought dinner. I still had leftover peanut sauce from last week so I picked up some more bok choy, red pepper, tofu and soba noodles and was ready quite quickly with a delicious meal.

Yum.

This week will include more future planning, more hanging with friends, and… packing! On Friday I leave for the music camp I teach at every summer. I’ll be there with limited internet for the rest of August. A great way to end the summer before starting back in with real life.
